Newly Rehabbed Homes In West Central Ready To Hit Market

The west central neighborhood revealed its latest upgrade.

Construction is now done on the first of three homes along the 800-block of West Washington Boulevard.

Thanks to funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s “Home Investment Partnership Program,” seven homes are being rehabbed to sell.

Programs like these can get families in homes during a tough economy.

Community Development Heather Presley-Cowen says, “These are families that want to buy that aren’t finding affordable housing, families wanting to rent that aren’t finding affordable rentals. Programs like these are important to families and to communities wanting to keep their families housed safely and in desirable homes.”

The home’s first open house is Wednesday night at 5 PM and is expected to sell for $90,000- $125,000.
