Mayor Henry to celebrate completion of Renaissance Pointe homes

The final homes in a rent-to-own housing project in the southeast-side Renaissance Pointe neighborhood have been completed and leased, Mayor Tom Henry’s office said.

Henry will join project developer Kevan Biggs on Friday morning to celebrate the completion of the project, the city said in a news alert. The project – part of efforts to revive the former Hanna-Creighton neighborhood – is comprised of 66 new homes.

The tax-subsidized homes were built on vacant lots along John Street, Gay Street and Weisser Park Avenue.
